It was a pleasure to be back at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, Windisch/Brugg Campus and engaging with bright young minds on the topic of Sustainability, Trade-offs, and Agri-Food Value Chain Implications.
The energy, curiosity, and thought provoking questions from the students made the session incredibly interactive and rewarding. Together, we explored:
1. The Agri-Food value chain — its key players and diverse business models.
2. Navigating trade-offs between stakeholder needs and shareholder expectations.
3. A real-life case study of a sustainable farm, and the long-term investments and choices it demands.
4. The Finger Millet crop cycle, revenue, and sustainable agriculture.
Grateful to Nikolina Fuduric, Ph.D. for the opportunity and the rich two-way learning this session brought!
