I am sure many of you are confusing the word regenerative A.I as another “tech term”, but wait, if you eat food to survive, you must also make an attempt to know more about the world “Regenerative Agriculture. Incarnation”! (In fact, regenerative agriculture is nothing new, its reincarnation of best agriculture practices from the past).

Lets find little bit more about similarities between two emerging concepts and assess which one needs more focus.

Like in generative AI where you have data recognition and synthesis of new data structures, regenerative A.I also recognizes patterns in the soil and creates a new structure to enable better water retention, nutrient uptake and storage etc.

Good data in, great insights out.. Good practices in, great harvest out!

Any technology to work, we need good data to be fed in to the system, else, its garbage in garbage out! Similarly, if we are not following right regenerative agriculture practices, harvest will also be average. So, its important to start with right practices and follow them consistently.

If you web search for generative AI, you will be lost with opinions of consultants, tech gurus and institutional research papers. Similarly, world has diverse opinion about what is right and wrong regenerative ag practices. Don’t worry, if you are committed you will decide on one and follow them rigorously. Course correction makes practice fine tuned over the years.

In summary, what need to change is, our conversations and investment focus areas

The evolution of any technology depends on someone who is willing to invest heavily in its development. This is clearly evident in the case of the generative AI revolution. For a meaningful food, better we make concept of regenerative A.I as popular as generative AI!
